In just under two months, Open Arms is becoming Stand by Me and I’m delighted to introduce you to the CEO of Stand by Me, Ahmad Ayoubi.
As I’ve gotten to know Ahmad over the last two years, I appreciate his love and compassion for children around the world that comes from his experience as one of the first rescued Stand by Me children while growing up in Beirut during the Lebanese civil war.
The care and support Ahmad received allowed him to complete his education, eventually becoming the CEO of the very organization that transformed his life. Watch him share his moving story by playing the short film below.
Ahmad, along with David, the Stand by Me Founding Director, has taken Stand by Me from its small beginnings of an office in a garden shed to now rescuing thousands of children around the world. This is all thanks to God’s miraculous provision.
We are excited to combine Ahmad’s unique understanding and experience with our fantastic team here in the US and your support and generosity. Together, we will meet the needs of children in Kenya as well as many more children around the world in Romania, Colombia and Ethiopia.
Soon we’ll be sharing more about Stand by Me and we will introduce you to the programs in Colombia and Ethiopia, where you’ll have the opportunity to join the work in January.
We hope that you will come on a journey with us and that, like us, you’ll see Stand by Me and Ahmad’s passion and heart for the children and join the mission to help them become everything God has intended them to be.
