Milk, Anyone?

Updated: May 2, 2022

Taking care of 160+ kids just got a little easier! For many years, Open Arms Village farm staff have worked hard to care for the milk cows. Adding one cow at a time, finding the right feed, celebrating the birth of new calves, milking every morning and night...it has all paid off!

The Village is now self-sustaining in milk production! The 14 milk cows at the Village now produce 22-26 gallons of milk every day.

In addition, we are expecting three new calves very soon!

We no longer rely on buying milk from outside the Village to supplement the daily need of milk for our children.

This is a huge accomplishment and we are so proud of all the hard work that has led to this wonderful result.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Open Arms Village. The staff is working so hard to become more self-sustaining every single day. With your continued support, this dream will become a reality!

God bless you,

Kaytie Fiedler
